UPDATE: Due to the COVID-19 Global Pandemic,
ESCCA is modifying the way we serve our families.
We are taking every precaution to ensure the safety of our families and volunteers. During this time, we are not conducting in-person serves.
Read below for details on how we are safely serving our community.
FOR HEALTH CLERKS AND SOCIAL WORKERS
We are serving families during District 65 remote learning.
Parents or guardians may request ESCCA services for a District 65 child by contacting you. They will need to fill out a digital Request Form. Please contact our ESCCA Health Clerk Liaison Emily Erikson for more information.
Once ESCCA's schedulers receive the digital form, volunteers compile the requested items and bag them for pick up at the JEH Building (1500 McDaniel Avenue). Families are contacted by the volunteer supervisor when their shops are completed and ready
for pick up. Families have seven (7) days to collect their shops before they are restocked and therefore considered a reschedule.
BAGS CAN BE COLLECTED:
Monday - 11AM-1PM
Tuesday - 9AM-11AM
Wednesday - 11AM-1PM and 5PM-7PM
Thursday - 11AM-1PM
Friday - 9AM-11AM
Families should call the ESCCA phone when they arrive at the JEH building. A volunteer will bring the bags to the lobby.
To ensure efficient handling of questions or problems, the health clerk should keep each requests on file and record the date the digital form is sent to the directors for scheduling. The number of children shopped for each session is limited to 8 to 10 and requests are handled in order they are received by ESCCA's directors.
ESCCA does not serve pre-school children.
Emergency situations will be handled as expeditiously as possible. However, all referrals must come through the schools, even in an emergency. Occasionally, community agencies will refer children who are not District 65 students.
To request emergency service, call directors for scheduling, Diane Wright, Laura Hohnhold or Diane Kastman at 847-859-8018, and send the digital Referral Sheets to them as soon as possible. The children will be served as soon as available personnel can be assembled to staff the serving center.
A parent or guardian may request ESCCA services for a District 65 child by contacting his or her school health clerk, social worker or school principal. Contact information for your school's Health Clerk can be found HERE.
